Rachel Frickleton MA, LMHC (ON LEAVE)
My goal in counseling is to help you navigate the challenges you face in your life. I utilize a strengths based approach which allows you to refine the skills you already have within you. I have training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and believe that the way that we interact with others influences the way that we think, feel and act in our lives. I believe that all people possess strengths which can help them to realize change in their lives. Exploration of your relationships and experiences in the counseling process can be both difficult and rewarding. Strengthening your sense of self will allow you to gain confidence and enjoy your life more. I believe that everyone wants to feel understood and I look forward to learning and growing together.
In addition to my training as a counselor, I have experience working in and alongside the fertility industry and with pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorders. Preconception, pregnancy and postpartum are times of deep uncertainty and often lead to loneliness and isolation. My goal in counseling is to help you feel less alone.
It is important to me to spread a message of love and acceptance and provide hope and support to members of the LGBTQ+ community. I understand that those who identify as LGBTQ+ face unique challenges. I look forward to navigating this with you
